Paola Navone’s collection for Baxter

Paola Navone’s collection for Baxter, presented through the lens of Andrea Ferrari, is not just furniture but a narrative of places, materials and inspirations that cross continents and cultures.

INTERNI INSPIRATION

The ‘Quaderni di Viaggio: Marbella’ catalogue, inspired by Bernardo Bertolucci’s masterpiece and signed by Paola Navone for Baxter, captures a different Marbella. Far from the tourist image, it reveals a place of stagnation in time, where nature is imposing and wild, and the Moorish arches remind of mystery and adventure.

This outdoor collection is told through the cinematic images of Andrea Ferrari, expressing the cosmopolitan and unconventional spirit of Navone. It features exotic locations such as the rain forests of Manila and Manao, the desert of Arizona, the ocean with Panama seats Bold, but also Fellini’s iconic Rimini.

The materials that characterize the collection, such as natural terracotta, lava stone, Palladiana Green marble, angiographed bronze copper, cane and unique soft Baxter leather, create an atmosphere of primitive sensations. Navone emphasizes the importance of patterns and bold colors, such as camouflage and Camo Vert, expressing a worldview. Baxter sees the outdoors as a place of meeting, sharing and telling stories, where furniture goes beyond mere functionality, incorporating the complexity of human relationships with space.
