Echoes of Africa
There is a fresh breeze in town blowing from the hottest continent.
INTERNI INSPIRATION
In a globalized world with aesthetic following a common path, there are still some beacons of local, authentic and deeply rooted creativity. African craftsmanship is one of those that shine, sometimes with a little help from western brands such as Golden Editions. The Barcelona-based design studio and workshop works closely with artisanal weavers in Ghana to create contemporary pieces that pay tribute to a timeless craft, while supporting local communities. And then there are those original pieces, collected by brands like As’Art, older and new, totally made by the hands of people who perpetuate an art that stylishly stands the test of time.
