INTERNI INSPIRATION
The “Sandstrand” collection began to take shape when Marianne found inspiration in her own childhood memories, woven into the sand and the salty air of the enchanting beach in southern Norway. There, by the shore, Marianne had as a child roamed around and collected stones and shells like little treasures from the sea.
The name of the collection, “Sandstrand”, not only reflects the various material it is made of – beige marble, mango wood and aluminum – but also bears Marianne’s love and nostalgia for the little white cottage she spent the summers in, by the beach in Grimstad.
Marianne recalls the smell of tar and the feeling of walking along the beach when she remembers these moments. Having the privilege of sharing these memories and feelings through the collaboration with Jakobsdals became an enchanting journey in itself
